After attending several animation summits and noticing limited focus on lighting and compositing, I approached the organizers of AfroAnimation about creating space for these discussions. This led to a lighting-focused presentation examining how lighting behaves across darker skin tones in animation.

The workshop explores lighting structure, midtone preservation, exposure control, and color interaction as key factors in skin readability and visual clarity.
